Simplicity and tenderness were my inspirations as I designed these. I wanted to design something dainty, lightweight, and clean that still feels personal and brings a little bit of magic to your life. I adore the uniqueness and sparkle Opals carry with them. They make me think of burning flames, wild springs filled with clear water, the elements that make life possible on our planet and how delicate the balance between it all is. I think of the fountain of life, mother earth, the gentle relationship between a blooming flower and the bee pollinating it. Everything is connected through a fine-tuned relationship to the life around it – therefore this earring set is called Älv “River”

I wanted the earrings to make you feel like you’re carrying a natural water spring with you. The clear opals shimmer elusively in red, green, yellow, and blue as they dangle in your ear. The subtle nature of the glimmer in the gemstone adds just the right amount sparkle for you to look classy without losing out on that romantic fairytale energy we love so much here at Forest Forge. Images of cozy cottages, playful fairies, magical gardens, meadows of wildflowers and joyful fables played just as much of an important role in the making of this piece as the gold and the gemstones did.

Every opal is unique but I make sure the ones I use for these stay consistent when it comes to their high quality. I usually use milky translucent opals for these earrings but if transparent opals is more your thing, feel free to send me a text and we can personalize your earrings there. The opal is the birthstone for October, so if you’re an autumn baby this might be perfect for you.
