Throughout history, the dark spots of the moon have sparked the imagination of humanity. We have spent our nights stargazing, observing the Moon's complex surface since our species came to be. The man in the moon, a rabbit, a toad – I find it fascinating how we like to characterize the contrast between light and dark. To make meaning out of the shapes we see on the Moon is called lunar pareidolia. This ring is inspired by just that.

Kratrar means Craters. This ring is hammered by hand to evoke imagery of the bumpy floor of the moon. The rough base of the ring reflects light just beautifully with its many facets and the smooth heightened edges encompassing the textured surface crates a tasteful contrast in the piece. This design is clean and minimalist without lacking character. If you’re looking for a little something extra, this design is also available with a gemstone.
