The ring band is hammered by hand to evoke images of the billowing water being pulled and pushed by the warm winds. The factettes reflect light just beautifully and adds an element of nature to this piece. The ring tells stories of crashing waves, fishes playing tag, warm summers, and frozen winters where the texture of the water freezes with the season. I worked with principles of simplicity and minimalism when designing this piece, because the lake is just that – simply beautiful and perfectly natural.
I hammer, texturize, form and solder the metal into these shapes so each piece is one of a kind. The inside is smooth and the edges are sanded down to ensure a comfortable fit. This ring is popular with men as well as women so this might make a nice gift for him. It goes well with many of our other designs so feel free to have a virtual cup of tea as you spend a few minutes here with us in the Forest Forge for a little look-around.
